The global COVID-19 pandemic has led to an unprecedented economic crisis. Governments everywhere are faced with innumerable, pressing policy questions around how they can protect their most vulnerable citizens during the crisis and deal with its economic impacts.
We have built a simple survey module that can be used to measure the impact of the crisis on a variety of economic agents, such as large companies, informal and small businesses, self-employed, workers, and farmers.
Our goal is to make this data publicly available to produce research that will inform policy responses to the pandemic in the months to come.
There are already 32 groups of researchers who have incorporated, or are planning to incorporate, this questionnaire into their projects to collect data in 16 different developing countries.
The data collected from this survey module will be posted on this website in the coming months. In the meantime, we encourage researchers to read about our survey module and use it in their research.
