This dataset contains information on 1,366 women in rural Paraguay. Respondents to the survey are women who either have a self-employed business or intend to start one. All respondents have expressed an interest in receiving a business loan.

This sample is not representative for the country/district/village. The sample consists of a very select group of people applying for microfinance. The 1,366 respondents represent 68.30% of the full study sample
